Crystal Bailey, E-RYT 500, Co-Owner, True North Yoga, Alaya Yoga School Faculty Member
Crystal has been teaching and studying yoga since 2010, with a background as a fitness instructor since 1993. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training through Wanderlust Studios in Austin, Texas and Lake Tahoe, California. She completed her RYT 500 through Alaya Yoga School, and she has completed her 1000HR Alaya Yoga School Apprenticeship Program. She is now leading classes, workshops, and 200HR Teacher Training Immersions in her studio, True North Yoga, in Paducah, KY.
Crystal is a co-owner of True North Yoga, LLC in Paducah, Kentucky, where she has a passion for providing transformative yoga experiences for her students and providing a safe and welcoming environment at her studio.
Crystal believes that yoga creates awareness of opportunities for us to evolve as human beings, to live from a place of gratitude and to become more comfortable in our bodies. Crystal’s love for yoga inspires her life as a mother and grandmother, and through all the lives that she touches.

What to Expect
The daily schedule includes a mix of lecture, asana, pranayama, meditation, group work, reflection and student teaching. We will break for an hour for lunch and have shorter breaks throughout the day. When the weather is nice, we will do our best to get outside and take advantage of our outdoor space as well!
You must be present for the entire training to receive the certification of completion for the 200HR yoga teacher training. If traveling from elsewhere, book your flights to allow time before and after class.
Schedule
Beginning in January, we will meet four times over the course of five months from Thursdays through Mondays from 8am – 6 pm. This modular format allows for greater flexibility when making arrangements with work, school and/or family, as well as the opportunity to integrate the teachings into your daily life.

Meg McCraken, E-RYT 500 - Co-founder, Experience Alaya
Meg is passionate about sharing the full, rich teachings of yoga (asana, meditation, yoga nidra, chanting, philosophy, etc.) in a truly experiential way that helps us to positively transform and enrich our lives. Having worked as a yoga therapist for over a decade, she is continually inspired by the vitality of the human spirit and the power of yoga to help us tap into a source deep inner-peace and well-being.
She has been sharing the yoga life with all kinds of seekers for over 20 years and is the Co-Founder of the Alaya Yoga School, a Wanderlust Presenter and Teacher Trainer, and the original founder of Simple Yoga and Wellness Studio. She is a passionate community builder and give talks, lead teacher trainings, satsangs, workshops and retreats all over the world. You can also find her classes featured online at www.Gaia.com/Meg .
The 7 years she spent as a yoga studio owner in rural Montana fueled her passion for building diverse and strong communities that foster true human connection. Though she no longer runs the studio, she recognizes community building as the urgent work of our times and remains dedicated to that in all that she does. She is currently inspired to create safe and sacred spaces where these genuine connections can be established, flourish and endure. It is her intention to bring this work to the great divides that we face in our current society. Outside of the studio, she will be working with a tribe of inspiring souls to sprout these communities in our prisons and along the racial and political divides.

Dr. Mike Lane, DC, Chiropractor, Anatomist, Foundation Training Instructor
Dr. Mike Lane, DC is a specialist in the field of functional movement and wellness. He is a chiropractor, bodyworker, foundation training instructor and anatomy teacher. His intention is to help people move, feel, and live better. Since selling his successful San Francisco-based chiropractic practice in 2016, Mike and his wife have been traveling the United States in their RV home, sharing the importance of health and wellness through workshops, retreats and festivals.
Dr. Mike loves to witness people understand and experience Anatomy in a way that they thought wasn’t possible. Anatomy is a challenging subject and it doesn’t have to be. Dr. Mike will make AnatomySense in a whole new, fun and dynamic way.

Pricing and Policies
Deposit – All students are required to pay a $200 nonrefundable deposit to hold their spot in the training if not paying in full.
Early Bird Pricing – Early bird pricing is in effect until November 15, 2022.
Training Cost – After the early bird window is over, the cost of the training will be $2,750.
Payment Plan Option – There is a payment plan option for $3000.00. This payment plan will require a $200 nonrefundable deposit, and three payments, two $935 payments and one $930 payment.
Training Capacity – Only 20 students will be accepted. You can be added to the waitlist if the training is full.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the training registered with Yoga Alliance?
Yes it is. The Alaya Yoga School , part of Experience Alaya, constitutes a Yoga Alliance registered yoga school offering in-depth, world-class yoga teacher trainings at both the 200-HR and 500-HR levels. Rooted in the tradition of non-dual Tantric Hatha philosophy, Alaya Yoga School honors the ancient lineage of traditional yoga practices. Is the training offered virtually?
No, we are dedicated to offering this training in person. We will have outdoor areas available for use if needed and are prepared to pivot if needed due to unforeseen restrictions.
What precautions are being taken to keep the training safe?
All trainees will be required to either be vaccinated or have a negative Covid 19 test prior to attending each session. This will be a very intimate group. We will be partnering up with each other and assisting one another. This setting will require that everyone is making an effort to keep our community healthy. Should you become sick before or during the training, please contact us. You are also welcome to wear a mask during the training.

Do I have to be present for the entire training?
You must be present for the entire training to receive the certification for the 200HR yoga teacher training. Any exceptions due to emergencies will be made on a case-by-case basis.
What is required for me to apply?
The requirements to complete the 200HR certification includes:
- At least beginner-intermediate experience with yoga (of any style) to begin (note: you do not need to be an expert, know complex poses, Sanskrit or even plan to teach to join)
- Attend all 5 modules in their entirety
What Accreditation & Certification will I receive upon completion?
At the completion of your 200HR yoga teacher training, you will receive an Experience Alaya Teacher Training Certification at the 200-Hour Level. If you choose you can then register your certification with Yoga Alliance for your 200-Hour Registration.
Who will be facilitating the training?
This training is happening at True North Yoga studio, but will be presented by Experience Alaya. Crystal Bailey, a faculty member at Experience Alaya, will be the main presenter. She will be joined by Ginny Garner of True North Yoga. Additional scholars from Experience Alaya who will present for the training will be Meg McCraken, co-founder of Experience Alaya, and Dr. Mike Lane, DC.
What are the payment options for the training?

What if I do not plan to teach yoga?
This training will give you a deep understanding of the practices, traditions and spiritual teachings of yoga. You do not have to want to be a yoga teacher to do the training! It is a great way to find your authentic voice in the world if teaching in a yoga setting is not for you. You will experience the vastness of yoga that is difficult to obtain in traditional yoga classes.
