Gentle Bends Yoga - 60 Minutes
Are you feeling stiff, out of breath, tired, tired of feeling tired? Then try our Gentle Bends yoga class. This class is perfect for people with arthritis, previous joint injuries, Lupus, or Fibromyalgia. The class concentrates on basic yoga postures, breathing and learning to relax coupled with lots of laughter and fun. Gentle Bends yoga gently rejuvenates and restores strength and stamina to the body. The use of props allows the postures to be held without strain. This class allows both action and relaxation to occur simultaneously throughout the series of postures. All levels welcome. Even if you think you could never do yoga, this is the perfect class for you.
Introduction to Power Flow Yoga - 45 Minutes
No prior yoga experience is needed. In this forty five minute class you will be introduced to the principles of power flow yoga. Power flow yoga is a free form yoga style that arises from intuition rather than tradition. You will learn the basic postures that comprise a power flow yoga class and how to connect them with your breath. Extra time will be taken to demonstrate safe body alignment in the postures and modifications will be offered to customize them to your unique level of strength and flexibility. Sun salutations will be introduced and a strong emphasis will be placed on developing core body strength which is the foundation of a power flow yoga practice.
Power Flow Yoga - 75 Minutes
This challenging and flowing form of yoga will transform your body and revive your spirit. Even though we do not practice in a heated room as in some power yoga styles, you should come to this class prepared to sweat. Some previous yoga experience is recommended but not required to attend this class. The class will include sun salutations drawn from the Ashtanga yoga tradition, arm balances, and preparatory poses leading to full inversions. You will experience the benefits of this class on many levels. On the physical level, you will gain strength, flexibility, experience better balance, and notice an increase in stamina and endurance. Emotionally and spiritually, you will notice an increased sense of awareness as the serenity of your yoga practice begins to permeate your life.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga - 80 Minutes
Dynamic flowing postures and sequences will help to strengthen the mind/body connection. A modern take on the ancient tradition of yoga will help to improve your strength, flexibility and balance while also fostering internal peace. Room heated to 85 degrees. Previous yoga experience is recommended.
